iNaturalist is a mobile app and social network designed for nature exploration and citizen science. We are using this platform to power our local project, "Mapping Kudzu in Polk County NC, USA," and we need your help to build a digital map of this invasive species.

How You Can Help

By joining our project on the app, you can contribute to our community's conservation efforts in three simple steps:

  1. Snap a Photo: Whenever you see kudzu in the county, take a clear picture through the iNaturalist app.

  2. Log the Location: The app automatically records the GPS coordinates of your find.

  3. Submit to the Project: Mapping Kudzu in Polk County NC, USA. Your observation will be added to our local database.

Why It Matters

Think of iNaturalist as a mix between a digital field guide and a global scientific database. By documenting where kudzu is growing, you are providing the vital data we need to secure grants and expert assistance to help eradicate it from our county.

Every photo you upload helps us protect our local landscape and get the resources necessary to keep Polk County healthy and green.
