Town Hall Sculpture

At the Tryon Town Hall, near the entrance you’ll see an abstract, figurative sculpture made of fabricated steel. It’s the work of the late sculptor Dan Millspaugh of Asheville. In 2005 Tryon’s Upstairs Artspace presented a major sculpture show of artists belonging to an Asheville based group that called itself “Mountain Sculptors”. Three of the sculptures were installed outdoors with Millspaugh's being mounted in front of Town Hall. After the show closed, he gifted it to the town.
